What is the RAW Stage?

In 2010, First Person Arts launched the RAW Stage during the Annual First Person Arts Festival.  The RAW Stage puts the spotlight on Philadelphian artists who are pushing the boundaries of traditional memoir and documentary art by delving deeper into their own forms or collaborating across disciplines. The program showcases work that is recent, innovative, and inspired by real-life experience across all genres. Selected RAW works are presented as part of the annual First Person Arts Festival.
