I was 18 or 19, and I went to a First Person Arts Festival production. There was this woman, by herself, on a stage with a microphone, telling us stories from her life. As a young theatre student, it hadn't really dawned on me until then that I could blend theatre with some kind of performance memoir, and from then on I had this quiet fantasy of someday performing in the First Person Arts Festival. I thought about that night after I was approached about producing Witness. It was pretty incredible to have a dream I'd had as a young artist become a reality 15 years later.

"On behalf of Chloe and I, and everyone at The Sachs Program, congrats. You guys are amazing! What a packed house and a great event. Chloe and I were saying last night, Marion was one of the first meetings we had after we launched. It was so exciting to see all your hardwork and planning pay off on such a successful night. Woot woot! Shout out to First Person Arts too and everyone involved."

I especially loved all the diversity, and points of views — the difference in ages, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. Thanks so much First Person Arts!
