About the Event

Coming Home after incarceration is a new beginning, challenging, and even at times hilarious. Join us for an evening featuring a group of incredible males of color sharing true, personal stories about their experiences as returning citizens.

Comedian Ali Siddiq found his voice behind bars. During his six years of incarceration, he cultivated the art of entertaining through comedy by sharing his funny stories and opinions with his fellow inmates. Ali has appeared on BET’s One Mic Stand, Bill Bellamy’s Ladies Night Out Tour on HBO, and the season finale of HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. North Philly rapper Peedi Crakk, gained notoriety through his guest verses on material by his Roc-a-Fella label mates. He is now signed with Amalgam Digital and G-Unit Philly. Peedi will perform a rap written for this event. South Philly Comedian, Chris Cotton, has worked with such national headliners as Godfrey, Tommy Davidson, and Kevin Hart.; Che Guerrero has spent 12 years tackling race, marriage, and work through stand-up comedy. A revolutionary voice on the modern comedy scene, Che's style is rooted in his experiences growing up undocumented. After all the performances, Chris Cotton will sit with our featured artists for an in-depth and hilarious "late-night" interview.
