TEAM PHILLY
2008 Best Storyteller in Philadelphia, Ryan T. Barlow, is a naturally gifted raconteur who won the very first Storyslam he ever stumbled into. By day he works as a copywriter/web manager for a Marketing/Community Relations firm and he’s the best at that too. Probably. In his spare time, he develops plans to make his life more interesting in case he has to write short biographies of himself in the 3rd person. Ryan hopes that the DC team will be gracious losers. Get a taste of Ryan’s style here.
Doug Changstein Didyoung was born during the Vietnam war in 1969 to a Vietnamese woman and an American G.I. In 1975 he found himself adopted by two loving Pennsylvania Dutch parents and reared in the village of Reading, Pennsylvania under the shadow of the Pagoda. He grew up eating ringbolgna and redbeet eggs but hungered for Pho and iced Vietnamese coffee. During the day Doug finds himself painting cells in various stages of meiosis and late at night watches unspeakably bad movies on cable. He is fond of, but not good at, archery, classical music and poetry. He loves his nephews Tater and Calvin. He doesn’t like DC because it smells like hotdogs and Navy Seals. Watch Doug do his thing here.
Michael McCarry (Bio coming up!)
Brady Russell grew up in Southeast Kansas, where he created monsters and superheroes. Now he’s a community organizer in Philadelphia. Doesn’t eat meat. Does drink coffee. He lived in D.C. back when 13th Street was the place where Washington met the District (and if you don’t know what that means then it’s time for you to get out of Washington). His website is http://www.thistoowillpass.com/.

MEET OUR HOST
Guiding you through what is sure to be an emotionally-charged evening of stories is our Master of Ceremonies, Tre Rials. By day, Tre dominates spreadsheets, makes pie charts and sometimes maps, but by night he recants raunchy stories about boys, hookers, and bourbon-swirled adventures. For this family-friendly event, everyone thought it best that he host. See Tre in action here.
