TEAM DC

twaindooleyThree-time DC/Baltimore Poetry Slam Champion Twain Dooley (aka Doo-licious T) enjoys sharing his love for words with students and his love for peanut-butter with his two children. He is the author of several books of poetry and is currently working on the story of his life, None of This Makes Sense and was part of two SpeakeasyDC’s ensemble casts: The Capital Fringe Festival hit Revenge of the Cat-Headed Baby and the second annual Sucker for Love Valentine Special. DC born and bred, Twain wants the Philly team to know that after witnessing our greatness, they will wish they were born in DC.

stephanieCustomer Service Warrior by day, storytelling coach extraordinaire by night, Stephanie Garibaldi’s (aka Granny G) stories can both entertain a crowd and quiet angry callers. As SpeakeasyDC’s education director, she co-hosts and coaches all the performers on our monthly open mic. She is a member of the cast of SpeakeasyDC’s acclaimed Fringe Festival success, Chocolate Jesus and directs SpeakeasyDC’s annual Sucker for Love Valentine Special. She has been performing, hosting, directing, and teaching with SpeakeasyDC since 2002. She wants the Philly team to know that she will not give you a refund.

chris-loveChristopher Love (aka The Disciplinarian) performs every day as an elementary math teacher in front of an audience of six-year-olds who refer to him affectionately as Mr. Love. He has been telling stories to more mature audiences with SpeakeasyDC for the past year. He wants the Philly team to know that DC is going to take them out to recess.

meredithMeredith Maslich (aka Mistress of Word) has been a storyteller, teacher and coach with SpeakeasyDC since 2006. A favorite on the open mic, she is also part of The Sin Show cast and performed in the 2008 Big Read. Behind the scenes, Meredith volunteers on SpeakeasyDC’s board of directors. She wants the Philly team to know that she’s available if anyone needs a storytelling coach.

MEET OUR HOST
4390390990_3c236caf82_mGuiding you through what is sure to be an emotionally-charged evening of stories is our Master of Ceremonies, Tre Rials. By day, Tre dominates spreadsheets, makes pie charts and sometimes maps, but by night he recants raunchy stories about boys, hookers, and bourbon-swirled adventures. For this family-friendly event, everyone thought it best that he host. See Tre in action here.
