Volunteer and Intern with First Person Arts!
Volunteers and interns are essential members of the First Person Arts community. Throughout the year, they help with marketing, development and other First Person Arts needs.

Ongoing Internships
Spring: January-April
Summer: June-August
Fall: September-November
Audio Intern- Open for summer and fall
The Audio Intern works closely with the Marketing Coordinator to record, edit, organize and post podcasts from First Person Arts’ year-round StorySlam series. Candidates should have their own access to audio editing software.
Marketing Intern- Open for summer and fall
The Marketing Intern works closely with the Marketing Coordinator in all aspects of marketing, including: blog writing, archiving press releases and stories, web/blog analytics, audience research and outreach, and email marketing. Candidates should have excellent writing skills and be detail oriented.
Development Intern- Open for summer and fall
The Development Intern works with the Development Manager on grant research and writing, and maintaining donation records. While development experience is not necessary, candidates should have excellent writing and proofreading skills, be fluent with the basic Office suite of programs, and have some experience working with databases.
Digital Media Intern- Open for summer and fall
The Digital Media Intern works closely with the Marketing Coordinator to create and organize digital/online recordings of First Person Arts’ programs and activities. Candidates must have a working knowledge of digital photography and video, and standard photo and video sharing platforms (Flickr, YouTube). Knowledge of video editing software and ediitng experience is helpful but not required. Knowledge of iMovie or access to other editing software required. First Person Arts will provide equipment.
