Salon Preview: Angela Crafton
Homeless and drug-addicted, Angela Crafton had lost her way by the time the system caught up with her. But, ironically, it was her loss of freedom–a one-year prison sentence–that saved her live and gave it new direction. Now approaching her ten-year anniversary of regaining her freedom, Crafton shares her personal story of artistic self-discovery and the effect she’s had–through the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia–on the lives of other incarcerated women.
Also on the program March 11th:
- Bricolage artist and writer Jose Cedillos
- Collaborative autobiographical poets Dr. Niama Williams and Rev. Joseph William Massey
- The documentary team behind Space Times Square: Barry Vacker, Olivia Antsis and Brett Sroka.
