Salon Preview: Angela Crafton

6 March 2009 No Comment

Homeless and drug-addicted, Angela Crafton had lost her way by the time the system caught up with her.   But, ironically, it was her loss of freedom–a one-year prison sentence–that saved her live and gave it new direction.  Now approaching her ten-year anniversary of regaining her freedom, Crafton shares her personal story of artistic self-discovery and the effect she’s had–through the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia–on the lives of other incarcerated women.
