Mortified StorySlam Winners
Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday evening for the Mortified Storyslam at the Free Library Festival. And thanks especially to the Free Library of Philadelphia for inviting us! This special-event StorySlam featured a team of storytellers from First Person Arts in Philadelphia and one from the Windy City Story Slam in Chicago. You can read bios of all of the storytellers here.
By cumulative score, the overall winners were Team Philadelphia composed of Angel Hogan, Katonya Mosley, Ryan T. Barlow, Amy Malissa and Rob Kogan. Team Chicago was composed of Bill Hillman, Max Glaessner, Nicolette Kittinger, Sam Snow, and Enid Maldonado Ruiz. Videos of all will be up shortly!
The individual winner–and recipient of a golden ticket to the Grand Slam at the 2009 First Person Festival in November–was Max Glaessner, of Chicago:
And after a tally of the audience votes, the audience favorite was Amy Malissa, who’s already secured her berth in the Grand Slam:
