Love and the Lamb

This short documentary was made for First Person Arts 2007 doc competition called “Objects of My Affection.”
The subject, Angel Hogan, was a guest Storyteller at the July StorySlam and won the special Summertime StorySlam, part of the Kimmel Center’s Summer Solstice Celebration. If you can handle that much alliteration.

The amazingly talented, hard-working team behind this piece: Raeann Drew, Arianne Edmonds, and Alana Hoffman – also known as RAA Productions. It was made, as the contest specified, in just five days with the subject and filmmakers strangers until paired up on day one. It was an intense and incredible process. THANKS FIRST PERSON ARTS!!
In only five short minutes this little documentary says volumes about family, race, and the world we live in. Nice work.
Oh yes, thanks for pointing us to the production team! Can’t wait to see your presentation at the September Salon…
Nice documentary! Down with the sledge and the hammer like a bat. Getting in the truck and ride out just to catch the culprit!
Angel you are my lamb! This video brings on the tears every time!
I absolutely love this short film. The people who put this together did an amazing job in such a short period of time. Kudos to them and my Angel, wonderful job!! PS. AXe handle rocks!!!!
Nice work. Says a whole lot in a little bit of time.
Swell.
Nice work. Keep the creativity coming.
This video is the best ever! I especially appreciate Angel’s generous acknowledgement of her birth family that made the difficut decision to let her go. . . how many tears must have been shed over that. Janet
Nice job Angelita. Keeping it real.
This was very powerful and moving. You are a strong, beautiful woman.
ok ok I AM your cousin, but WELL done. You and your team did a great job. You covered so many aspects of family life in such a tight time frame and in such a human way, that takes skill.
Much was said in this 5 min, but seeing Angel grow from a little girl into such a wounderful, caring person was and continues to be a Joy. You are an Angel!
