The Story Market takes the familiar idea of a flea market but makes one essential change: instead of selling objects, the sellers sell personal stories. Vendors include popular storytellers and actors who sell their tales in a festive bazaar atmosphere. Stories range in price and storytellers choose how they want to entice their customers, using sales, bulk discounts, coupons, bartering, and more.
Past storytellers include:
Paul Blore (William Way Community Center)
Amanda Feifer O’Brien (First Person Arts Grand Slam winner)
Mike McCarry (First Person Arts StorySlam winner and Grand Slam host)
Bill Mettler (Quiet Riot Storytellers)
Andrew Panebianco (Winner, Best Presentation at First Person Arts Grand Slam)
Lansie Sylvia (First Person Arts StorySlam winner)
Juliet Hope Wayne (Moth and First Person Arts Grand Slam winner, Moth Podcast, Moth Radio Hour)
Brad Wrenn (The Berserker Residents)
Christ Church will offer mini-tours of the historic grounds led by John Hopkins and Neil Ronk
The First Person Arts Story Market is supported by the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage as part of the No Idea Too Ridiculous Workshop.
