An annual event since 2007, the First Taste Fundraiser brings together supporters of First Person Arts for a compelling evening of personal stories from leading figures in the arts, food, or media spheres. The event captures the heart of First Person Arts’ mission: that everyone has a story to tell and that sharing these stories connects us to each other and the world.

All proceeds benefit First Person Arts programs and services, which include writing and storytelling classes for youth and adults, the annual First Person Arts Festival, and Applied Storytelling projects that shine a spotlight on the amazing true tales of everyday people. Past First Taste honorees include former editor of Gourmet Magazine, Ruth Reichl; CNN’s Soledad O’Brien; the host of NPR’s Morning Edition, Steve Inskeep, and Chief Wine Critic for The New York Times, Eric Asimov.
