Story Slams
Every 4th Tuesday at L’Etage! (6th and Bainbridge)
First Person Arts’ Story Slams are a monthly real-life-storytelling competition co-sponsored by L’Etage at 6th & Bainbridge Streets in Philadelphia. Each month’s theme will elicit true tales from the lives of Philly’s storytellers. Who are these local raconteurs? Anyone with a story and a little sense of competition is encouraged to participate. Each month ten names are drawn from the hat, and each contestant is given five minutes on the mic to tell a story and win over the crowd. ‘Judges’ are audience members who score the gutsy performers on a ten-point scale.
4th Tuesday of every month @ l’etage (6th and Bainbridge)
Doors open at 7:30 pm
Slam begins at 8:30 pm
Admission is $5-$10 on a sliding scale
21 and over only.
