2nd Annual Inter-City Slam: Philly v. DC
It’s not your mama’s StorySlam when the City of Brotherly Love goes head-to-head against the Beltway at the 2nd annual Inter-City StorySlam! Join master storytellers from Philadelphia’s First Person Arts as they compete against the talented tale spinners from SpeakeasyDC. They’ll be crafting five-minute true stories on the theme “All About My Mother.” Last year’s Slam against Chicago played to a packed house and it’s time for round two! Come show your love for Philly’s finest raconteurs. I think we’ll show DC a thing or two about how to weave a story. Hosted by Tre Rials.

I attended the Free Library slam and it was excellent! I’d say the main auditorium was full with about 350 people, and he crowd was buzzing almost the entire time. All the stories were entertaining, especially the Philly guy who won overall best story (sorry, I forget his name right now but I’m sure the vid will be posted soon.) Also, in the best tradition of great hosts, we allowed D.C. to win or otherwise it would have been a really long bus ride home for them. Great event!
Thanks Ben! I’m glad you had such a good time!
